Born and raised in Salem, Virginia, George has deep roots in the Roanoke Valley and a strong commitment to serving the community he calls home. A proud alumnus of Virginia Tech, he earned dual degrees in Finance and History, blending analytical expertise with a broad understanding of leadership, strategy, and long-term vision.

While at Virginia Tech, George was a member of the Hokie football program and a multi-year letterman as a tight end. His experience competing at the Division I level instilled in him the values of discipline, teamwork, resilience, and accountability—principles that continue to guide both his professional career and his service on the board. The lessons learned on the field—preparation, perseverance, and commitment to something larger than oneself—remain foundational to his leadership philosophy.

Professionally, George serves as a Financial Analyst with the Marsh Agency, where he specializes in financial planning, analysis, and strategic advisory services. His work centers on helping individuals and organizations make sound financial decisions grounded in data, foresight, and integrity. His financial expertise provides valuable insight and stewardship in board governance and long-term organizational planning.

George and his wife reside in Roanoke with their two children. He is passionate about investing in opportunities that strengthen families, youth development, and community engagement throughout the region. As a board member, he is committed to helping build sustainable programs and facilities that will positively impact future generations across the Roanoke Valley and beyond.
